Such a great macro shot. While I’m looking at this shot and think about the words to write I’m waiting to see the spider move and climbing. And I think that is what I like the most in this photo, the little story I see behind it.

November snow/the world is ending
The widening gap is how the earth started.
It cleared the winter fog.
From a single seed the child
germinates into
a symbol for this everlasting
repetition of life
and death and birth
and rebirth.
Closing in again on the center.
Suffocation of the self.
Help us survive the winter winds
and snow and sorrow
on this early November snow.
